A superlative solar plant
TEN is a modern energy supplier and service provider, where environmental protection and renewable energies are part of the programme. Years ago, deep consideration was started to be given to how natural resources are managed.
The long-term goal is exemplary:
regional energy supply in its entirety should be obtained from renewable energies.
But TEN has followed up its words with action.
Today, the share of renewable energies is already being increased through a significant use of sun, wind and biomass.
TEN’s commitment to this is enormous. As well as a highly efficient wind park, the power of the sun is now being utilised. Together with F&S solar concept, the plans for a superlative solar plant were forged. The end of 2009 saw the beginning of the implementation of Lower Saxony’s biggest solar park that should provide totally clean solar electricity with a total performance of 8 MWs.
On 31 December 2009, the first 2 MWs had already been connected to the grid. The remaining 6 MWs followed in the first 6 months of 2010. It is not only TEN and the region that are proud of this megaplant, but also the more than 2,100 households that, purely in terms of figures, can be supplied with safe, clean energy from today.
From the region - for the region.
That’s how TEN defines active environmental protection.
