Herhahn Solar Park

Energie Nordeifel (ene) started operations in 2004. The company provides energy services in the former Schleiden area and holds an almost 95% stake in Kreis-Energie-Versorgung Schleiden GmbH. ene knows what it wants: to save energy, conserve resources and minimise emissions. In practical terms, that translates to achieving a sustainable climate and energy policy only through intelligent use of energy, an improvement in energy efficiency and the resulting application of renewable energies. Implementing these ambitious goals began already a long time ago. In the Herhahn Business Park, the desire for decentralised and 100% ecological energy production has become a reality. In just 6 weeks of construction time, F&S solar concept created a solar park with a total performance of 1,350 kWp.

Increasingly, energy suppliers and municipal utilities are recognising the huge possibilities offered by the inexhaustible power of the sun. Today, it is no longer absolutely necessary to transport fossil fuels over thousands of kilometres. The sun can produce electricity exactly where it is needed.
