There are actually sites that can no longer be used in any meaningful way. That was until the Hüther family had an idea that was as simple as it was brilliant. Successful entrepreneurs Dirk, Timo and Oliver Hüther manage a specialist company for doors and building components. In their free time, they were keen on photovoltaic technology and have already been industrious producers of solar energy for years. However, roof systems on their own company were just the “compulsories”. The “freestyle event” was still to come.
Closely cooperating with the city of Hannoversch Münden, a site was found that have been idle for decades.
The former factory site Bonaforth was covered with metres of debris. In one part, a dump was in operation. The location itself was not attractive at all. What the site needed urgently was some creative and intelligent entrepreneurial spirit. This was found in the form of the Hüthers. The newly founded Hüther Solea GbR leased the site from the city of Hannoversch Münden for the next 30 years and sought out a reliable and experienced system builder.
Agreement was quickly reached on F&S solar concept.
Now the site has undergone a radical transformation. On 60,000m2, a 2,348 kWp solar plant now produces the cleanest solar electricity.
On debris and rubbish. That is innovative. That is active environmental protection.
The Hüthers are happy. As they always are, when they have concluded a project successfully.
