Open area systems – photovoltaic energy
Everything from one source
Because of the German Renewable Energies Act, open area systems have recently become very interesting for investors. In contrast to roof systems, a significantly higher total system performance can be achieved. Here, the effectiveness, i.e., the efficiency of the solar energy system, is impressive. A solar energy system covering a hectare can replace the energy production from approximately 100 hectares of rapeseed cultivation. Precisely because of the low construction height, in some cases less than 2 meters, and the assembly form (piles) preserving absolute space, the systems are integrated excellently into the existing landscape and the local ecosystem.
But there are considerably more advantages in operating an open area system:
- Optimal alignment and module slope
- Very good back ventilation
- Ideal maintenance options
- Unproblematic control of the electrical connections
- Industrial, systemised substructure
- Detailed system and operational monitoring
- Increasing efficiency and yield on the basis of the size of the system
- Ecological upgrading of the space utilisation on land previously used for agriculture
